Relationships: Key to Long-term Business Success
Strong Relationships are at the core of every successful business. I am a firm believer that there are no overnight successes when it comes to building a business whether online or offline.
It is easy for a person that is new to network marketing to become easily discouraged when they see the seemingly effortless success of others that are making thousands and able to replace their corporate income in a year or less.
The untold story is that these individuals have spent a life time of building relationships. They have established a significant list of “warm contacts.”
Today I would like to share a few tips for building relationships via email. Your ability to build successful relationships in cyber space will determine how successful your online business will be.
1. Establish yourself as a good source for information. Your ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing will determine your level of success in any profession. Please don’t let this intimidate you. This skill can be learned just any other skill is learned. Since most people are looking for information to get solutions, you should position yourself as the “go to person” for that information. You can poll your existing
contacts for the type of information they most desire and then become an expert in that area.
2. Freely share your knowledge. Start a news letter or weekly tips via email. This builds trust.
3. You must strike a balance on the frequency that you email the recipient. Email too infrequent and they won’t remember you. Email them too often and your email will remain unopened.
4. Finally, remember that your goal is to build a relationship. Therefore, mass emails are not for you. Always send a personal email. Sure it takes more time, but it is well worth it!
